First Day of Dance

The girls started dance today. Emma is in tap and ballet and Paige is in just ballet. They were so cute. This is Emma 2nd year of dance. She took jazz in Wisconsin. This is new for Paige and she was so excited. This studio is really good and reminds me so much of the dance studio I went to growing up. In Emma's class they even had a record player which I haven't seen in years. They had a CD player too but actually put a record on for some of the time. People think Paige looks a lot like me. It is hard to tell. Here are some pictures of me in a similar outfit but just a little older and with some crazy bangs.

My Little Artists

So Paige is coloring and Emma is practicing writing words and I am sending an email. The girls are in the kitchen and I am at the computer just a little ways away. I can her them giggling and can only see the tops of their heads from where I am sitting so I stand up to see what they are laughing at and found that they were coloring on each other. Emma was the instigator and Paige the willing participant. They both ended up in time out and I snapped some pics so I could show Alex what they had done. I didn't want them to think I was encouraging this behavior. Then I scrubbed each one (thankful they were washable markers they were using) and then sent them to take naps. They didn't even fight me. They knew they were busted. I think Emma's face says it all.

Chase 6 Months Old

Chase is now 6 months old. He can roll all over the place. He weighs 17.5 lbs and is 28 inches long. He has his two bottom teeth and is just the sweetest happiest little boy. He loves his sisters to dance for him and I am working really hard to make him say Mama first. Alex is pulling for a straight sweep in getting all three to say Dada first.

I took him on Saturday to get his pictures taken. He is the happiest and best baby and for some reason he was just not happy getting his pictures taken. Every time I put him down he would cry. So the lady did the best she could and I assumed when they came out to show me them there might be one or two that turned out okay. Well for someone not so happy I ended up thinking a lot turned out cute. I can only imagine what they would have been like if he was his normal happy self. Later that night he started running a fever and now sick so that is what had happened.

Cousins

My cousin graduated from U of A and both Alex and I and my Aunt Cindi (Jenny's mom) all graduated from ASU. The first night when they were here the little girls were playing dress up and Madeline put the ASU cheerleader outfit on and came downstairs. Jenny said that would be the last time she would be in those colors. The prompted me to put this picture together. While she was in the shower I snuck all of the girls downstairs and loaded them up in our ASU gear and took some cute pictures and had them back dressed and all of the ASU stuff put away before she got out of the shower. These pictures are for my Aunt Cindi who is a proud Sun Devil fan.

My cousin Jenny lives in Austin which is just a few hours away. We are just 6 months apart and both have kids close in age as well. She also has two girls and a new baby boy. They came to visit us a few days ago. We had a house full of wild a crazy kids. We had Emma (almost 5), Lily (3), Paige (3), Madeline (19 Months), Chase (6 Months) and Wyatt (2 Months). The girls had a great time playing together. It is nice to have some family close by.

Out with the old in with the new!

On Saturday night Emma lost her first tooth. She was so excited. It had been loose for about a week and when Alex was tucking her into bed he covered her with her blanket and started playing with her and when he pulled the blanket back it snagged on her tooth and it came it out. While Alex was cleaning out Emma's mouth I was searching the room for the tiny tooth that had gone flying. I finally found it and we got it ready for the tooth fairy. Emma was bouncing off the walls with excitement. Paige, not so much. She would not go to bed she was scared of the fairy that would be soon visiting their room. I think she finally went to sleep around 11:00 PM. We originally put her in her bed at 8:30.

The next morning Emma came into our room bright and early to show us the money she was left and was so excited. Paige was excited too. She said she actually got to see the tooth fairy. Emma was so disappointed that she had missed her. Paige began to brag that she got to see her and Emma didn't. I asked what the tooth fairy looked like and she said "just like Tinkerbell but likes tooths". I think she wanted to have something special to talk about too.

Chase got his first two teeth last week. Hence the title out with the old in with the new.
