First Cereal Feeding

We tried rice cereal today for the first time. I'd say Chase did pretty well. Towards the end he got the hang of the spoon. He had quite a little audience cheering him on. I think Emma was the most excited and Paige thought his food looked yummy (Eww gross!) This is my first child who sucks their thumb. This seems to be a problem. Every time I would go to stick a bite in his mouth his thumb would beat me to it. I may have to ask the girls to hold his hands when I feed him from now on.

Swim Lessons

The girls started swim lessons last week. They both just love it. My goal this summer is to get them to swim so I can relax around pools. It scares me that they can't swim and prohibits me from taking them swimming without Alex. It is just too hard for me to take all three alone. They have two weeks of lessons then two weeks off because we are going on vacation and then it is right back to lessons again. Hope fully by the end of the summer they will be a lot better swimmers.

New Do

So when my friends were here a few weeks ago they talked me into cutting my hair short. I started thinking back to the last time I had short hair and I think I was around 5 years old so this was a big change for me. Well I got it cut today and here are a couple pics. I need to play with it and figure out what else I can do with it. My hair is really fine and I can already tell that this cut makes it look a lot thicker.

Cute Kid Pics

Emma and Paige just love Chase. They always want to hold him or get right in his face. He loves them too.

I am also loving my blankie. Mom keeps trying to stick this binky in my mouth but I still just love my thumb.

I am finally getting the hang of the Bumbo. Love my new ASU T-Shirt representing mom and dads alma mater. Thanks Grandma!
I am so talented. I can fit my whole fist in my mouth.

Rolled Over

Assuming the positionThrowing the leg over
Now the body, what is with this arm in the way. Maybe I will just suck on it for a little while.
I am over, now what?

Chase rolled over for the first time today. He went for his 4 month check up today and he was trying to roll over while on the table in the doctors office. So when we got home I put him down on the ground and within a few minutes he had rolled over. He hasn't figured out how to get from his tummy back to his back yet but I think that one is easier so I am sure it will be soon. By the way the boy weighed a whopping 16lbs 9 oz and almost 26 inches at his appointment today. He has grown so much and is so fun. He smiles all day long. Here is a little video of Chase grunting while he is trying to roll over. Of course he wouldn't do it very fast when I was trying to film it.

First Day of Summer Camp

Today was the first day of summer camp at the girls preschool. They will go twice a week for the next 3 weeks. This was Paige's first day going to preschool. She was so excited. She has been sad the last few years when we drop Emma off at preschool. She wanted to go so bad so today was a big deal to her and she loved it.

Girls Trip 2008

Can't wait until the next girls trip. Hopefully Steph can make it next time. We wished she could have come too but she had a wedding to go to.
On the last day we went shopping at the new Outlets that just opened a few weeks ago here and then I dropped them off at the airport. My girls love my friends and were pretty sad when they left. They loved the new audience to put on all their shows for. They have already asked me when they can come back and when they can go swimming at Summer's house when we go to AZ.

On Friday we slept in since we got home so late and then went shopping at The Galleria in downtown Houston. We went to dinner at Maggiano's Little Italy and went for dessert at Chocolata by my house. We went back to my house and did some make overs since we had our expert ( Holly B) with us. They are trying to talk me into cutting my hair short which I have never really done before. I am now about 90% sure that I am going to do it. This lovely picture is after a long day of roller coasters, wind and some hot and humid weather. Don't we all look like super models???

Summer 's birthday in on Father's Day so went went to dinner to celebrate and we asked the waiter to embarrass her. Well needless to say they accomplished that. They sang to her and tried to feed her dessert to. They were really trying to smash the whip cream in her face. It was pretty funny.

This weekend my friends Summer, Holly, Heather and Holly B. came to visit me here in Texas. We had so much fun. They got here on Wednesday night and we went to Blackeyed Pea. This was one of our favorite restaurant in high school but they went out of business in AZ. They are all over the place here in Texas. After dinner we went to the movies and saw Maid of Honor. The next morning we got up bright and early and headed to San Antonio to go to Six Flags. It was hot but so much fun.

Hot Summer Days

We bought the kids a little blow up pool to play in our backyard. They loved it! We invited some friends over to play. Poor Paige though, even though it was hot outside she gets so cold so easy. She has no body fat on her at all and she just sits there and shivers. We try to make her get out out but she would just refuse.
