Super Bowl Party

We went to see our friends Jeff and Rachel and their baby Easton who we hadn't met yet to watch the Superbowl. It was fun to see Jeff and Alex with their little boys watching football. The girls stayed home with Grandma since we had just got in to town and they were too excited to see Grandma and Grandpa.

We loaded up the kids and all of our gear and we headed to AZ. Boy was it a long drive but well worth it. We had a great vacation. We drove in to town just in time to head over to see some friends and watch the Superbowl. Poor Cardinals!!
Monday night I got to go out with my friends. We went out for dinner, dessert and then went back to Summer's to sit in the jacuzzi.
Tuesday we left the kids with my parents and Alex and I flew to Vegas. We had a great time. It had been awhile since we have gone on vacation without the kids. We missed them but it was great to get away for a few days.
Friday morning we had breakfast with Alex's mom and that night we celebrated Chase's first birthday. His real birthday was on Superbowl Sunday but didn't want him to have competition with the Cardinal's.
Saturday we went to my cousins baby shower who is pregnant with twins and then we hit the road.
It was a very compact trip and we didn't get to see everyone we wanted to but hopefully next time we come we will have more time to visit.

Playing Wii Mario Olympics

On Christmas Eve we spent the evening playing Mario Olympics on the Wii, making cookies, tracking Santa's whereabouts on the Norad website, writing letters to Santa, leaving reindeer food in the yard for the reindeer, having a nice dinner and finally opening presents. The kids opened their presents faster than I could keep track. It was hard to get them to settle down for bed. Finally after they went to bed the adults could relax for a little while. I got up early with Chase a snuck a picture of what Santa had left all of the kids before they got up. Looks like Santa thought our kids were on the nice list this year.
