Happy 4th of July

We went to the 4th of July festival near our house. All though it was not organized very well and really crowded the girls had a great time. They got their faces painted which they always love and they had an insect booth and Paige held a Tarantula and a cetipede. So gross. Emma wouldn't she was too nervous but Paige didn't even flinch. She must be tougher than me.

First Cereal Feeding

We tried rice cereal today for the first time. I'd say Chase did pretty well. Towards the end he got the hang of the spoon. He had quite a little audience cheering him on. I think Emma was the most excited and Paige thought his food looked yummy (Eww gross!) This is my first child who sucks their thumb. This seems to be a problem. Every time I would go to stick a bite in his mouth his thumb would beat me to it. I may have to ask the girls to hold his hands when I feed him from now on.

Swim Lessons

The girls started swim lessons last week. They both just love it. My goal this summer is to get them to swim so I can relax around pools. It scares me that they can't swim and prohibits me from taking them swimming without Alex. It is just too hard for me to take all three alone. They have two weeks of lessons then two weeks off because we are going on vacation and then it is right back to lessons again. Hope fully by the end of the summer they will be a lot better swimmers.

New Do

So when my friends were here a few weeks ago they talked me into cutting my hair short. I started thinking back to the last time I had short hair and I think I was around 5 years old so this was a big change for me. Well I got it cut today and here are a couple pics. I need to play with it and figure out what else I can do with it. My hair is really fine and I can already tell that this cut makes it look a lot thicker.

Cute Kid Pics

Emma and Paige just love Chase. They always want to hold him or get right in his face. He loves them too.

I am also loving my blankie. Mom keeps trying to stick this binky in my mouth but I still just love my thumb.

I am finally getting the hang of the Bumbo. Love my new ASU T-Shirt representing mom and dads alma mater. Thanks Grandma!
I am so talented. I can fit my whole fist in my mouth.

Rolled Over

Assuming the positionThrowing the leg over
Now the body, what is with this arm in the way. Maybe I will just suck on it for a little while.
I am over, now what?

Chase rolled over for the first time today. He went for his 4 month check up today and he was trying to roll over while on the table in the doctors office. So when we got home I put him down on the ground and within a few minutes he had rolled over. He hasn't figured out how to get from his tummy back to his back yet but I think that one is easier so I am sure it will be soon. By the way the boy weighed a whopping 16lbs 9 oz and almost 26 inches at his appointment today. He has grown so much and is so fun. He smiles all day long. Here is a little video of Chase grunting while he is trying to roll over. Of course he wouldn't do it very fast when I was trying to film it.

First Day of Summer Camp

Today was the first day of summer camp at the girls preschool. They will go twice a week for the next 3 weeks. This was Paige's first day going to preschool. She was so excited. She has been sad the last few years when we drop Emma off at preschool. She wanted to go so bad so today was a big deal to her and she loved it.
